DRIVE4CHANGE GOLF RECYCLING PROGRAM
Partnering with my Corporate Communications Manager, I launched a golf club recycling program, Drive 4 Change, to give back to our community in Orlando. Our community partners included 2nd Swing and The PGA Superstore benefitting The First Tee of Central Florida. Through this program, we provided 30 brand new sets of clubs [with the help of The PGA Superstore] to 30 of The First Tee’s members. We then collected 1,200 clubs from the community that 2nd Swing recycled, resulting in a nearly $10k donation to The First Tee of Central Florida.
Due to the success of this program, we repeated it when launching our venue in West Palm Beach in October 2019. Through this program, we again provided 30 brand new sets of clubs [with the help of The PGA Superstore] to 30 of The First Tee’s members. We then collected 3,000 clubs from the community that 2nd Swing recycled, resulting in a nearly $7k donation to The First Tee of The Palm Beaches.
DON’T BE A DRAG,
BE A QUEEN —
LIVE BAND KARAOKE
To support the Orlando area’s active LGBTQ+ community, I developed a Live Band Karaoke party hosted by a local drag queen in support of The Center. Five percent of all proceeds were donated to The Center.
This was one of two events developed in support of Orlando’s LGBTQ+ community for World Pride Month, 2019.
These events increased revenue by 36% week over week.
